Destination: Year round wildlife
A land of short grass and croton bushes, Maasai Mara’s climate is relatively predictable, with ample rain, and the new grass supports an annual wildebeest migration of half a million animals from the dry plains of Tanzania. Named after the Maasai people who inhabit the area, a Masai Mara safari is a excellent destination for year-round concentration of game as well as the two million animals that make up the Great Migration.
Destination: Cultural Experiences
One of the great attractions of this particular safari destination is the cultural experience with the Maasai people. Make sure you try out one of the many sensitive cultural excursions and experience the lifestyles of the local communities. The Maasai Mara has abundant wildlife all year round. Whether you’re watching a pride of lions hunting, hyenas squabbling with vultures, a herd of elephants grazing in the marsh, or the migration you will not be disappointed with the safari experience.
